Good morning everyone,
A phrase you and I have been hearing and perhaps even saying a lot lately is “a new normal.” That got me thinking. What is “a new normal?” Of course one may look at the circumstances around them and say “I can’t visit my family like I ‘normally’ would.” That’s true and yes it has caused us to be innovative and creative on how we stay connected. There are other “new” normal activities as well. Getting groceries is one of them. I must confess I do not enjoy this “new” way of gathering essentials for my family to share a meal.
You may think of other “new” ways we go about our daily lives. Even how we worship looks different. In the midst of all that is “new” remember something that is new every morning. The mercies of God.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” Lamentations 3:22-24
Today as you adjust to what is “new”, be thankful for the compassion of God expressed each and every morning.
In His grip,
